Ok, I’ve survived another week at work and I guess it’s not that bad. My senior pointed out something today that got me looking at it more positively and excitedly - we get to be busybodies and we have every right to poke our noses in others’ dirty laundry and you would, even if it were grudgingly, hand over your secrets for us to see. Hah! Beat that!
Anyway, it’s that time of the year - Diwali. Happy Diwali/Deepavali to one and all celebrating it tomorrow. We’re having some people over the next two days. Mostly N.R.Is (non-resident Indians) like ourselves who don’t really have kin in Singapore so we can’t go visiting relatives and all. They’re typically from neighbouring villages or districts back in India. This time last week we were out at Hotel Intercontinental Singapore having Mediterranean Seafood Buffet. It’s a tad overdue but I’ve been too lazy to post up these pics. The buffet was not all that spectacular but I guess it was a steal for the price we paid. It’s originally $45+++ but we had coupons and my brother pretended to be half his age so we only paid about $20 per person.
My brother in all his glory as a seven-year old. I told him he should feel right at home since he always acts like he’s seven anyway.
Eat your heart out
Eat your heart out some more
Eat your heart out yet some more
Ok fine I’ll stop.
:-) Happy Diwali!!!
